Statement from the Chairman

Nandi School Project – A Year of Challenges and Progress
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we reflect on the past year, it’s clear that while we’ve faced unexpected challenges, we’ve also seen incredible resilience, growth, and support from our community.
One of the more difficult situations we encountered was a financial misstep by our former coordinator, Vincent, who took a sum of money from the project’s account without authorization. Unfortunately, he was deceived in a transaction that resulted in a significant loss. While this was a serious breach of trust, his family stepped in, and we are grateful that every penny has been repaid, ensuring the charity itself was not financially impacted.
While this situation was deeply disappointing, it has also led to important changes. We have since welcomed Sabina Tanui as our new business manager and coordinator. Sabina has already brought fresh energy and professionalism to the role, and we are confident that she will help steer the project toward even greater success.
The fallout from this event has, at times, been challenging, with differing opinions within the community. However, we are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in particular Head Pastor Eliazer Kogei and Pastor Joseph Keter along the majority of the people we work with daily. Their encouragement has reinforced our belief in the strength and unity of this project.
Despite the obstacles, we remain steadfast in our mission. The positive impact of the Nandi School Project continues to grow, and the generosity and kindness of our supporters make all the difference. Your contributions allow us to keep making tangible changes in the lives of the children and families we serve.
Thank you for standing with us through every challenge and triumph. Your support, belief, and generosity mean everything to us.
With gratitude and optimism,
Duncan McDonald
